June 2018 & June 2019 – 174 Camden High St, Camden Town, London, England

For those of you wondering, no this is not the bar from the Simon Pegg movie. That bar is fictional. There are actually many pubs in London with this name. I stumbled across this interesting article on it.

This is not a dive bar in any way, it’s actually quite clean and shiny. I still quite like it here despite this. They have really high ceilings, and lots of wood and metal. And some cool art.

I rank this second of the three Camden Bars. Again, if I found this place in any other city, I would never leave. Camden has a pretty solid metal bar game.

We went to this bar both this summer and last summer, but oddly I can’t remember what they played. I have a comment on Untappd that says good music, except for the Danzig. I do not like Danzig, but my husband does, so it’s kind of a thing.

They have their own house beers here, a pilsner and an ale. They have a few beers on tap and in bottles but, as you may have picked up on, I have an intense dislike for English beer. Fortunately ciders are really popular there, so I mostly drink those. BrewDog and Tiny Rebel have also saved me on several occasions.

There is a live venue, Underworld, downstairs but I have never made it to a show. Someday!

Also, I bought a shirt. I looks like this but is green.

Cheers!
