December 2018 – Urb. Industrial Los Angeles, Principal, Calle 65 Oeste, Panamá City, Panama
Well, this below is apparently the only photo I took here. We had to take a cab, it’s kinda far from the centre. I had looked up events and was quite sure there was a show on this night. That was incorrect.

The live venue is upstairs, and there is a smaller area downstairs with pool tables, and a few more tables outside. There were only 3 or 4 people when we showed up, I think it was just the bartender and some of his friends. We had a quick beer and headed back to Casco Viejo.
Everyone was friendly, and it seemed like a cool bar, but perhaps only gets busy when there is a show. We planned on coming back the next night for the bands, but there is so much to see in this city and we didn’t make it.
Since I don’t have too much to say about the bar, I will take this opportunity to plug Panama as a beercation destination. The only other place I have been to that rivals the volume and quality of microbreweries is Florida.

Here’s a list of a few of the microbreweries and brewpubs we came across: La Rana Dorada, Casa Bruja, 2 Oceans Brewing, Cerveceria Maestra, Istmo Brew Pub (no website), Animal Brew (also no website. More on this awesome place later), Bocas Brewery , Boquete Brewing Company (I stepped on glass our first night in Boquete and couldn’t hike, so I spent most of my time here. If you find yourself in this neck of the woods, do yourself a favour and go!)
Also, just look at this view from the rooftop pool at our hotel. Panama is awesome!

Indeed yes, Panama is awesome. Did not find out about microbreweries but saw over a thousand raptors funnelled across the Isthmus as they headed from Canada to Brazil, maybe? Love your view from hotel pool.
